I have been a cancer survivor for 19 years. I was diagnosed in july 2007 while i was working as an anchor reporter at wsb-tv (abc) in atlanta, ga. I’d found my LUMP DURING a shower, which I later learned was a tumor, and that meant breast cancer. I had just turned 36 years old in may. a medical official called me while i was at work with the news. the medical professional said, “you have infiltrating ductal carcinoma.” I said, “what the hell is that?” He SAID, “you have breast cancer” and after HEARING THOSE WORDS, I fell apart. i knew then that THE BATTLE WAS on!
